I bought this ring for myself and ordered it with the garnet stone. I was expecting a deep red stone like is shown but when I picked it up the stone is actually a purple pink-ish color. Partly my fault as I did not research a rhodolite garnet which is a purple pink-ish stone. The ring is beautiful but when people ask me what type of stone it is and I tell them, they often argue with me which is annoying. I even had one jerk tell me I must have gotten ripped off. Obviously that man also needs to do some research. I love the ring and think it’s beautiful! It’s just not what I pictured based on the photo and description when I made the ring on-line. I also should mention that once I finally got the ring I was told by the store upon inspection the stone was not centered in the prongs and I would have to send it back. I was told if I left the store that day with it as is I would have to pay for the repairs, unless I purchased the lifetime warranty. I of course paid for the warranty as I wanted this ring for an event I was going to and had I sent it back it would take another 4-6 weeks. I cannot tel that the stone is not centered in the prongs and sometimes wonder if this told to me just so in hopes I would buy the warranty. All in all it is beautiful and I wear it pretty frequently.

My fiancé and I designed this ring together after he proposed. I’ve always wanted a sapphire but when we looked in stores, we couldn’t find what we were looking for. Then we saw the Vera wang custom rings and felt like we designed the perfect one. The setting is stunning, but the center stone sapphire is not what we expected. The sapphire shown in the rendering was much more bright blue than what we received. People frequently ask me if it’s a black diamond which makes me extremely sad. You really can only tell it’s blue in bright sunlight. I kept thinking it would grow on me but it did not. By the time I decided I really didn’t like it, I was a few days beyond the return period.

My fiancé finally proposed with this stunner! We spent so much time searching for the perfect ring and decided to go the custom route. I am in love!

I was really nervous about ordering a custom piece because I love seeing things in person first. I was able to go into the store and see the different elements together, but I was still nervous. The moment it I received it I was in love! It is so beautiful in person and not to be cheesy, but pictures don’t do it justice at all.
