5.5mm Square-Cut Lab-Created White Sapphire Solitaire Ring in 10K White Gold
Good Alternative to a Diamond
When I picked this up in the store, the first thing I noticed was how incredibly light it was. The band isn't filled in from the top to halfway down so the ring feels lighter than it should. The stone itself is pretty and clear. I wear a size 6 (to put it into perspective) and the stone is just the right size. It sits quite high atop your finger. The other thing I feel I should mention is that the stone doesn't twinkle quite like diamonds do, I would describe it more as reflective. Overall, I think it is a very good alternative to a diamond. The band pictured with it is a 2mm polished gold band, also purchased at Zales, 3mm would also work well.

I was nervous buying online, as the photo left alot to the imagination. When my fiancÚ & I were looking for rings, I decided I did not want a diamond, as I'd be too afraid to lose it, or for it to be stolen. While searching for an alternative I came across this. I was nervous that it would look cheap. But the price was so low, we chose to buy it, with plans to return it to a store if we weren't satisfied with the quality. What sold me on that idea was that it was white gold, not sterling silver, as most other simulated "diamonds" are set with. When the ring came I was surprised how satisfied I was with it. The style is so simple & the stone looks wonderful. I plan to put an eternity band with it as the wedding band for extra sparkle! It sits a bit high, and in a hands in job may get knocked about a bit. Also, the prongs are a bit sharp, may not be the best if you have small children. Overall, I love it & it's perfect for me!! We were able to take it into a store & buy the protection plan on it. Lifetime warranty!!
