by ALovelyLife So happy :D
I knew I wanted a black diamond. Nothing else felt right. My fiance' proposed with his mom's ring, then surprised me with this one a few weeks later (Dec '13). I really love it!
It very much resembles the picture, a white gold four-prong setting. There is a bit of imperfection on one side of the diamond, but anyone who does their research on black diamonds knows it's very common for a black diamond to have "flaws". I wear that side facing me and forgot it was even there until I started writing this, haha. Also, since we opted for an enhanced black diamond vs. a white diamond, we were able to get a larger stone for our money.
We keep to a strict budget, so we also paid attention to the price, waited until it went on sale and then purchased with a coupon and got it for a steal! Then he just held on to it so I didn't know when it was coming :) This style of ring isn't for everyone, but I am so happy to have this as my engagement ring!

My boyfriend proposed to me with this ring last night and I couldn't be happier! It is so beautiful. The setting is classic but the black diamond is very unique and makes it interesting. I have bigger hands (ring size 8.5!) and the 1ct looks great. Black diamonds might not be for everyone but I love them and would strongly recommend this ring!
